Terms of Service

1. Who we are

SkyCompass (“we”, “us”) operates skycompass.gg, a set of informational tools about the in-game economy of Hypixel SkyBlock. SkyCompass is run by a private individual based in North Carolina, United States, and is not a registered company. If a legal entity is ever formed to operate the service, these terms will be updated to name it.

2. What the service is and is not

SkyCompass is advisory only. It presents information and calculations derived from publicly available game data. It does not act in the game on your behalf, does not automate any in-game action, and does not require access to your Minecraft or Hypixel account.

That includes the Stat Breakdown: it displays a player’s public SkyBlock progression, fetched from the Hypixel API at the moment you ask and stored nowhere (see the Privacy Policy). It never tracks a player over time, and the stats it computes are informational; the game itself is always the authority on a player’s actual numbers.

Nothing on SkyCompass is financial advice, and in-game outcomes are not guaranteed. Game prices move constantly: a figure that was accurate when computed may be wrong by the time you act on it. You are responsible for your own in-game decisions.

3. Your responsibilities

• You remain bound by the rules of Hypixel and Minecraft while using anything you learn here. SkyCompass must never be used as part of automating gameplay, and we do not support or condone tools that do.
• You will not attempt to disrupt the service, probe it for vulnerabilities without permission, or misrepresent yourself as affiliated with SkyCompass.
• You will not systematically scrape or republish the service’s computed output as your own.

4. Minimum age

There is no minimum age to browse SkyCompass. The site has no accounts, sets no cookies, and collects no personal data from visitors; the market data it records contains in-game player identifiers published by the Hypixel API, which are never shown anywhere on the site (see the Privacy Policy). Browsing therefore requires no age-based consent. If accounts are ever added, a minimum age will be set and this section rewritten first.

5. Cost

SkyCompass is free to use. There are no accounts, no subscriptions, and nothing to pay for. Any change to that would come with rewritten terms first, announced per section 9.

6. Availability

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We aim for reliability but do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we may change or withdraw features at any time. Our data depends on the public Hypixel API; if that API changes or becomes unavailable, parts of the service will too.

7. Intellectual property

The SkyCompass name, site design, and the computed analysis we publish are ours. Underlying game data belongs to its respective owners, and the item artwork shown on the site belongs to Hypixel Inc. or Mojang Studios and is used under their respective terms; it is not ours and not ours to license onward. Minecraft is a trademark of Mojang Studios and Hypixel is a trademark of Hypixel Inc.; neither is affiliated with SkyCompass. See the legal page for the full disclaimer and artwork credits.

8. Liability

The service is provided free of charge and without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for in-game losses (coins, items, or accounts) resulting from decisions made using information on this site, nor for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the service is limited to the amount you have paid us to use it, which is currently nothing. Nothing in this section limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

9. Changes to these terms

These terms took effect on 8 August 2026. On 14 August 2026, section 2 gained a description of the Stat Analyzer, a clarification of what the service does rather than a change to your rights or obligations. On 18 August 2026 the wording throughout was tightened, again without changing your rights or obligations. On 21 August 2026 the feature section 2 called the “Stat Analyzer” was renamed the “Stat Breakdown” — a name, not a term; earlier entries on this list keep the name that was in use on their date. Material changes will be noted on this page together with a new effective date. Continued use after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina and the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in North Carolina. If the law of the place where you live grants you mandatory consumer protections, nothing in these terms takes them away.
