About SkyCompass

The idea

Most SkyBlock economy tools are built for one kind of player: the high-capital expert who already knows what every column means. Everyone else gets the same firehose and is left to work out which numbers matter. SkyCompass starts from the other end: what is worth your time, given what you actually have?

A margin that is excellent for a player with fifty million coins can be a trap for a player with five billion, because a big order moves the market. A slow-selling item is fine if you can afford to wait, and a mistake if you need your coins compounding. The charts, order books, and player stats on the site today are built with that question in mind, and the tools that answer it directly are what comes next.

What it will never do

SkyCompass is advisory only, permanently. It shows information and works out the maths; it never acts in the game on your behalf. Concretely, that means:

Where the data comes from

Everything is computed from the public Hypixel API, the same market data anyone can fetch. There is no privileged feed and no in-game data collection. The API updates roughly once a minute, and SkyCompass is built for decisions where a minute is plenty: bazaar order flow, price history, and margins that persist for minutes or hours, not for split-second sniping.

What we add is the part the API doesn’t provide: history, context (like which mayor was in office when a price moved), and computation. SkyCompass has been recording the bazaar minute by minute, along with every auction house sale, since August 2026. For the years before that, bazaar charts show history generously provided by SkyCofl, credited beneath every chart that includes it.

The Stat Breakdown works the same way, for player progression instead of prices: type a username and it reads that player’s public profile from the Hypixel API once, right then, and works out where their stats come from and what would raise them. Nothing about the lookup is stored (see the Privacy Policy), and because continuous stat polling is against the API policy, there is deliberately no history, no tracking, and no “progress over time” view.

Pet XP Profit turns the recorded sales into a leveling plan: which pet to have out while grinding a skill, ranked by the coins its resale earns per skill XP after auction house fees, from real sold prices at level 1 and max level. Its optional Autofill reads a profile exactly the way the Stat Breakdown does — once, when you ask, storing nothing.

Items are shown the way the game shows them: names match the in-game names, and icons come from Hypixel’s official SkyBlock resource pack where it has art, with vanilla Minecraft artwork and community-maintained mappings filling the gaps. Full credits are on the legal page. Each item page also links to the community wiki for the game-mechanics side of the story.

Who is behind this

SkyCompass is an independent solo project developed by Munqkee, not affiliated with Hypixel or Mojang. Questions, ideas, or a decision you find hard to make in-game? Ask in the Discord. The posts get read.

The SkyCompass Discord bot brings the same lookups to any server or account as slash commands. It reads nothing but the command you run and stores nothing. Add it to your server or your account.
