SkyCompass is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or associated with Hypixel Inc. or Mojang Studios in any way. Minecraft is a trademark of Mojang Studios. Hypixel is a trademark of Hypixel Inc. These names are used here only to describe what the tools are for.

Advisory only

SkyCompass presents information and calculations. It does not act in the game on anyone’s behalf, does not automate gameplay, and never requires access to a Minecraft or Hypixel account. It is a reference, like a price chart. What you do in the game is up to you, and the game’s rules always apply.

Figures shown are computed from data that updates roughly once a minute and can be out of date by the time you act. Nothing here is a guarantee of in-game profit.

Data attribution

Market data and election results are sourced from the public Hypixel API and used in accordance with its published policies. The analysis, history, and rankings built on top of that data are SkyCompass’s own work. Player progression shown by the Stat Breakdown comes from the same API, fetched on demand and never stored; usernames resolve to profiles (and skins) through Mojang’s public API. The in-game text quoted in perk descriptions is Hypixel’s, with thanks to the community SkyCrypt project for its transcriptions.

Price history from before SkyCompass began its own collection (8 August 2026) is provided by SkyCofl (Coflnet) and shown with their permission. Every chart that includes their data carries a credit linking to their page for that item. Their data appears only as displayed history; the analysis and rankings SkyCompass computes use its own collection exclusively.

Item artwork

Item icons are served from our own server, but the artwork is not ours:

• Hypixel’s official SkyBlock resource pack supplies the art for items Hypixel has drawn. It is used under the pack’s own license, which permits Hypixel-related websites to use its assets as long as they are never sold or placed behind paid access, and here they never will be.
• Minecraft item and skin artwork, shown for items the pack does not cover, belongs to Mojang Studios and appears solely to depict the in-game items being discussed. No page currently renders a player’s Minecraft skin; where one does again, that skin is the player’s own, fetched from Mojang’s public profile service by our server.
• For a few items the game’s public data does not describe (attribute shards and essences), the mapping from item to artwork comes from the community NotEnoughUpdates item repository, used with thanks under its MIT license.

Third-party services and links

The site loads nothing from third-party servers: no external fonts, scripts, images, or analytics are fetched when you view a page — your browser talks only to skycompass.gg. The 3D player model, when a page renders one, is drawn by two open-source libraries bundled into the site’s own files: skinview3d and three.js, both used with thanks under the MIT license (copies ship alongside the bundle at LICENSE-skinview3d and LICENSE-three). Historical chart data from SkyCofl (see above) is fetched and cached by our server; your browser never contacts theirs. Item pages link to the community-run Hypixel SkyBlock Wiki as a reference and to SkyCofl in chart credits; those links leave this site, and neither site is run by or affiliated with SkyCompass.

Accessibility

SkyCompass is designed to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. In practice: the whole site works by keyboard alone, including the charts’ timeframe controls and overlays; both the light and dark themes meet AA contrast throughout; nothing on a chart is identified by colour alone (line patterns carry meaning too); pages carry the structure screen readers rely on; and every chart exposes its figures as text, a written summary of each visible series alongside the drawn lines. The site respects browser zoom and text scaling.

Accessibility is maintained as the site changes, and shortfalls are treated as bugs. If any part of SkyCompass is hard to use with a screen reader, keyboard, or any other assistive technology, please email skycompassofficial@gmail.com. Reports like that get fixed, not filed.

Policies

The Terms of Service have been in force since 8 August 2026 and the Privacy Policy since 20 August 2026; each states its effective date and will note material changes.
